Mini Mittens!

Good morning!

I've got some MDF mittens to share with you today:

These have been made using our MDF blank set of Mini Mittens.

The stamped flowers are our Ditsy Stitches which launched on Create & Craft on the 9th of December.

We've also used pearls and some twine to embellish (we'll be bringing the twine to C&C on the 2nd of Jan in our Rustic Ribbons selection!)

And finally, the tattered lace dies used were the Dotty Border and the Florentine Flourish.

Have a lovely day,

Hayley

New Releases!

Good Morning!

I just wanted to share a couple of projects with you today to celebrate our new Christmas releases!

This card was made with some upcoming papers that will be on Create & Craft early October! I love the colours here so I've been using them on everything!

I've used the Partridge stamp onto Kraft card, cut it out in a tag shape and layered onto black card, repeating the tag shape.

This has been layered onto a doily and a little twine bow added (you can get twine in our lace & pearl packs from C&C!), I've also added a diamanté that I've coloured with a promarker - look out for these on our next C&C show!

When layering up the card, I've used a Black card base, Kraft card layer and then began with my backing papers. I stamped a Handwritten Sentiment in the top right of the card too, this one is my favourite to use!

The die used down the edge is the Dotty Border from Tattered Lace, cut from Kraft card again.

The flowers were made using the Poinsettia Layers - I stamped them onto white card and coloured with Poppy & Burgundy promarkers - the leaves are two petals from the image coloured with Pear Green promarker.

And finally, I die-cut some Frond Finesse Flourishes (Tonic) from black card to fill in!

I hope you like it :)

Don't forget to grab your favourites online now:

Tattered Lace Challenge: Decadence

Good Morning!

Well it's another month gone and another card for the Tattered Lace challenge. This month we've got the theme of decadence, and I'll be honest: I had to google it!
Here's our DT card:
So for this one, I went for a deep colour since Decadence is about indulging in luxury! And obviously, I went for the most luxurious topper I could find: our Dresser (which is one of my favourites!) I coloured it with some Promarkers and added a sprinkling of Diamond glitter to the purple parts.

I die-cut the topper using the Westminster die and layered it onto a wine piece of backing paper to highlight the detail - this was also distressed a little using Gathered Twigs.

I've used some seam binding for a bow (and of course the new bowmaker... which is incredible!) and added a metal charm too - with a pearl in the centre.

Backing papers are all from the Gorgeous Gifts CD rom which was recently added to our website, a doily and some Kraft card too!

I used the Chelsea corner to add some detail onto one layer (mid-right of the card), a couple of strips of the Scallop Border down the central layer too. And a couple of diamond hat-pins!

Finally, to embellish it all (apart from a few lines of pearls), I used the tatty flower from Large Essentials, stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento onto Kraft card and used the stamens to twirl 'puff-ball' flowers, the odd shop-bought blossom and then some ferns to fill in!

Hope you enjoy this months challenge over on the Tattered Lace blog!

See you soon,

Hayley xx

A Christmas MDF Clock!

Good Evening!

Wow, the storm has just subsided here and the entire time it was thundering and lightening, I was preoccupied with this gorgeous MDF clock from Inky Doodles!

I don't know if you caught Sarah's show earlier today, but it inspired me to dig out the clock that's been gathering dust for the past few weeks and put it to good use! So... here's my creation:

I've used some of our upcoming stamp sets which launch at 1pm on Tuesday on this - above, I covered the base layer in kraft card and stamped a snowflake stamp (from the Swirly Tree stamp set) with versamark, then I embossed it with clear to darken the snowflake a little. I wanted something subtle, that wasn't printed from a CD.

The next layer, I used Creative Expressions Double Sided Sticky Sheets to cover the entire layer in Treasure glitter! The next layer used some burgundy printed backing paper from the new Simply Christmas CD and then finally, I repeated the sticky-sheet step to add glitter to the roof! The circular clock piece, I covered again with burgundy paper and added pearls to the pre-marked holes for the numbers.

My 'pendulum' is a couple of the MDF tags that come in the set (I have LOTS left over too!) and these have been distressed using Gathered Twigs, stamped a bauble in Memento, heat embossed all over with clear powder and added some Treasure glitter with a quickie glue pen. I tied these on with a bit of garden string too!

The large floral decorations are from the Striped Delights stamp set, I stamped and embossed in Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold and glittered, added detail to the stamens or coloured with 'Ruby' promarker, to create the different coloured flowers.

The baubles are from the Decorative Baubles stamp set which launches on Tuesday, with these I heat embossed them in Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold again and coloured with the Ruby promarker, then added a sprinkle of glitter!

Lots of pearls were added too, plus a sentiment from the Swirly Tree stamp set (O Christmas Tree)!

I hope you like it!

Have a fabulous weekend,

Hayley xx

Tattered Lace Challenge: Elegance

Good Morning!

I'm a little later than usual with this months challenge at Tattered Lace which is Elegance... it's been so fun to make!

I sat down last night for all the cards I have to get done by tomorrow and came up with this one:

For this card, I've used some backing papers from our upcoming CD which launches on Create & Craft on the 4th of July (we're excited!). I also got a little overexcited about the new Tattered Lace Embossing folders which are the Pick of the Day on Tuesday 1st of July over on Ideal World, and grabbed the last in stock at Hobbycraft! This embossing folder is called Rose Garden and is absolutely beautiful!

I added a strip of Luxury Lace across the centre of all my layers which is available here!

My topper is our Elegant Dress stamp and has been paper pieced with some Lilac paper from the CD and overlayed with Diamond glitter! I die-cut it using the Scalloped Oval from the Kedleston set twice, once from lilac and once from white, trimmed around the decorative dots and then layered them on top of one another.

To embellish, I've used our Beautiful Blossoms stamp set, stamped onto patterned paper, creased down the centre of the petals and then layered up. Then to accent them, I've used the die that was free with the Tattered Lace magazine Issue 6 (Large Flourish)  - it's fabulous for chopping up and poking out of flower arrangements!

I've used the Chelsea corner die to embellish opposite corners to the two flower arrangements I made, and a pearl to accent it!

I hope you like it!

Have a wonderful week... I'll see you again soon (hoepfully!)

Glittery Shoes!

Good Morning!

I've got a card for you today and a little tutorial - I get asked such a lot at shows and via email about glittering with a double sided sticky sheet so here's my little 'how to'!

First off... here's my card!

For this one, I've used paper from Pretty Projects Templates & More in Lilac and my topper is the Dotty Shoes from our Handbags & Shoes stamp set! The glitter colour I used was Luxurious Lavender!

I used some of our Luxury Lace collection (which is almost out of stock at the moment on C&C!), some of the gorgeous Assorted Pearls (again, almost out of stock!) and some American Seam Binding for the bow/ribbon!

My sentiment is taken from the Butterflies stamp set and flowers to embellish are from the Large Essential Flowers, Beautiful Blossoms and then a couple of twirly roses from the CD.

And finally, a little key embellishment from our Lasercuts!

Right, now for my tutorial...

First off, I stamped out the image twice - once to colour and once to cut up.

I coloured the areas that I didn't want glittered with my Graph it markers on the first image.

Then, cut up the second image and put some of the double sided sticky sheet on top:

I peeled off the backing (I find it easier to take off the backing so I can see my lines properly rather than cutting through the backing sheet) and cut out the areas I had coloured on my first image.

Dunk it into the glitter (this one is Sea Breeze)

And then add the glittered shoes on top of the coloured shoes!

Then you'll get them to look like the ones on my card:

Hope that's a little bit of help if you weren't sure how I achieved this effect!

Have a fabulous day,

Hayley xx

Tattered Lace Challenge #3: Men & Boys

Morning everyone!

I can't believe we're already on month 3 of the Tattered Lace Challenge!

Before we get started with the card, the 'how-to' and what was used, I just want to clarify that we did pick a winner of the Lavish Blooms die set, though unfortunately the winner hasn't got back to me yet. I'll be resending the email to the winner today so keep an eye on your inboxes and I'll announce the winner as soon as I hear back!

Right, here we go... here's our entry to the Men & Boys challenge!

So for this card, I've used the gorgeous Campervan die from the Day's Out collection, I cut it out three times - once from white, blue and then black. I used the white as the base (added acetate behind the windows), blue from the bottom part and then cut out the wheels separately to go on top. I coloured in the centres of the wheels with a Black Graph-it marker.

All the papers I've used are from our Forever Florals Double CD which I've distressed around the edge with a Gathered Twigs ink pad. I also used a quickie glue pen through a mask in the top corner and added Twinklies glitter on top!

Now for the fun bit... We were lucky enough to get our Elegance Collection #2 dies yesterday (the POW on Create & Craft which includes Haddon, Hardwick, Kedleston and Chatsworth) and of course, we couldn't wait to get playing!

I've cut the Kedleston Scalloped Oval from white card and used some masks around the edge, this is a sneaky peek at something that may be coming to us soon! I distressed lightly first, then added my mask and distressed through it in the same colour. I then used the straight Oval to die-cut from patterned paper and added the Campervan on top.

I cut the middle & smallest Chatsworth square (just to try it... and then NEEDED to use it!) from white card and cut in half across the centre of each. Then I poked them in the opposite corners of the topper image as an embellishment.

I added a strip of white seam binding across the centre and made a bow too, just to embellish...

And obviously, I wanted to use all the new dies as soon as we got them (plus we got our order of the Blush Ebosser yesterday too... which is a dream to work with!) so I used the smallest Hardwick circle, trimmed off the outer edge and used it as a matt for my circle sentiment!

I think that's about it!

Hope you like the card and be sure to pop over to the Tattered Lace Challenge Blog to enter your card for this months challenge!

Have a fab day!

Hayley xx

Sneak peek: 10am, 23rd May!

Good Evening!

It seems ages since my last post (I'm sorry about that!) - but here I am with a sneak peek for tomorrows show!

We're on C&C at 10am with three brand new stamps set, and our exclusive assorted pearl collection! We've also got some best-sellers back which include our project CD, Forever Florals (which is still super affordable!), lace and glitter! Here's a peak at one of the samples for tomorrow:

For this card, I've used papers from the Forever Florals double CD which absolutely FLEW last time we were on (thankyou so, so much for that!) - it's got to be one of my ultimate favourites for the variety of papers and pretty patterns.

I've used the brand new Beautiful Blossoms stamps, which also includes the sentiment I've used, stamped onto pink printed paper and then glittered with a Quickie Glue Pen and our Diamond Twinklies...

Each flower has been layered up with the same size twice, each layer embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Ancient Copper powder and glittered with Twinklies.

To embellish the arrangement, I've ran some cream paper + sticky sheet through my Jus-Cutz machine, using the gorgeous Florentine Flourishes from Tattered Lace, then glittered again with Twinklies.

I've used the brand new pearls to embellish the centres of each flower, and a few of our Lasercut embellishments too! (I've inked the key/cameo with Gathered Twigs, then covered entirely in my Quickie Glue Pen to dip into my Twinklies - the butterfly, I've covered in paper similarly to an MDF blank, trimmed around and used a line of Cosmic Shimmer glue to embellish, again covered in Twinklies!)

Also, the entire base plaque which I've used as the focal point is part of the Tattered Lace Elegance Collection Vol. 1 (Specifically, the Westminster die!), I LOVE it!

Speaking of the Elegance dies... the Pick of the Week, starting at noon tomorrow, is the second helping of these gorgeous dies... be sure to tune in for the first peek at them (we'll be begging the floor team to let us see them in the studio tomorrow!)

Hope you like it and I hope you enjoy the show tomorrow!

Hayley xx

PS. I wanted to post my shiny shoes too... look out for them on the show!

Our latest show...

Good Afternoon!

I'm sorry for the mass post here, but it's the most convenient way to share so many pictures at once!

We had such a fantastic show on Friday that I've only just got around to sorting out pictures of all the samples... most of which we didn't get time to show!

The first four were to showcase the Luxury Lace collection (which was super popular!)

Then here are some made with the extremely popular Forever Florals double CD which was on special offer - I hope you like them! (Some do mix & match with the stamp sets)

Then the following were with the Stamp bundle... you can still grab the single stamp sets online HERE

And finally, these were to showcase the glitter collections... you can pick up the Vibrant and Pastel online still!

Have a fab day!
